Howard Johansen takes a cut at an Asian bittersweet vine, part of the volunteer effort at Mashomack during February and March to eradicate invasive vines that can kill trees. Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, March 2 and March 16 and on Saturday, March 10 and 24. Call the preserve at 749-1001 for more information.
