The Lt. Joe Theinert is christened

A large crowd gathered for the christening of the Lt. Joe
Theinert on Saturday, July 3, assisted by Shelter Island Police
and Fire Department personnel, who helped with traffic control
and parking along Route 114, part of which will soon be renamed
“Lt. Joseph J. Theinert Memorial
Way.†
